At this day and age it seems like most people are fixated in getting their health to an optimal level and they do this by focusing on different diets.
A vegan diet is one of the trending diets for people looking to have a heart healthy life and to lose weight, So the real question is, is a vegan diet healthy or not?
There are many theories and debate to this where others say it doesn’t have all the essentials for the body and others saying it is the future diet.
Having been an omnivore and a vegan I have experienced two sides of this equation and I will be unloading to you the unbiased facts about this much debated question.

A vegan diet is a plant b based diet which is a subcategory of the vegetarian diet. Unlike the vegetarian diet the vegan diet excludes all animal products such as dairy.

The vegan diet is the strictest diets that exist since most people usually struggle to follow it since it excludes most of the foods omnivores are used to.

I will say upfront that when you go vegan you will miss a lot of nutrients and this has the ability to cause serious health benefits.
This is why it is very important to know what nutrients you need to focus on when it comes to food and also for supplementing.
I know when I started I hard a problem with calcium. It was only when I started having problems with stiff joints did I notice that I needed to up my calcium.
It is vital to know all these nutrients since it is not easy to get it in the foods we eat as vegans eat.

What does science and research say about this?
According to science and research done by the National Center for Biotechnology Information there is limited research evidence which proves that a vegan diet is the healthiest.
Despite this limited evidence the Center says that there is still great evidence that a diet filled with fruits and vegetables is good for preventing cardiovascular disease and cancer.
According to medium the vegan diet is linked to great health improvement as it gives a person the chance to live longer. Medium says this has been the case for many years from people who have lived on this diet.
It also says that this can only be the case if the diet is done the right way by the person consuming it as this can detrimental if some nutrients like vitamin B12 are neglected like some vegans do.

When it comes to consuming the right foods which have no cholesterol or LDL cholesterol and high HDL cholesterol it will always prevent deadly disease like heart disease and diabetes.
In fact a vegan diet is linked to decreasing the effects of diabetes and heart disease. I know this firsthand since I had clogged arteries.
This I found out when my condition got better when I changed to a vegan diet, In fact my clogged arteries decreased drastically ever since I changed to a vegan diet.
People change diets constantly to find the one which will work for them and the vegan diet has always been seen as one of the best diets.
This is because the vegan diet is the most plant based diet and it has always been linked to health improvement. But is it healthy Overall?
Yes the vegan diet is healthy only if done the right way where one makes sure all the nutrients are taken care of such as calcium, vitamin D, Iron, Vitamin B12 and protein.
If these nutrients are not taken care of it can be totally opposite of give a person good health.
This is because all these nutrients are needed for good body health for the body to function.
