We are all looking for ways to get fit and also lose weight during our time at home while we are on lockdown given the fact that we might gain lots of fat while at home.
Luckily for you there are best ways that you can do at home and which will give you the results. During this coronavirus weight loss tips article I will be sharing all of this after my research which I am always doing.

In this section of the coronavirus weight loss tips I will start by telling you the reasons why you need to keep fit and healthy during lockdown.
The truth of that matter is that this lockdown, which in most countries, is said to last for 21 days can be one of the things which taxes your body more than the coronavirus.
Don’t trust me?
Check an article by New York Times where Doctors talk about the fact that most patients die with coronavirus due to their weak immune system more than the viruses effect.
In fact, they reported also that people can even die easily and this is because of their weak immune system.
This than leads us to the question as to why we are not told to make our immune system strong by the media?
Well we can talk about the answer to this question all day long ,but at the end of the day the public is not prepared to tell people things which will benefit them.
One of the reasons is the fact that they will lose large amounts of profits since most people will cease going to pharmacies. But anyways I do not want to dwell on this topics ( that is a topic for another day)
The big responsibility to yourself is that you need to look out for yourself.

What are the dangers of being home for 21 days ( or possibly more)? I will list them below so you can understand how serious this can be to many people.
- Increased anxiety
- Increased stress levels
- Lack of vitamins (e.g vitamin D)
- Increased weight
- Increased levels of developing chronic disease.
According to the Time.com this is what staying indoors can cause to the human body especially if done for a long period like 2-3 weeks.
Logically you will see what havoc this will cause to your immune system which will lead to the coronavirus attacking you easily.
So what can you do to make sure you will not only have a strong immune system but also to make sure you keep the weight off your body?
Well don’t worry, I have got you covered. The next section I will start with the steps.
1. Learn to meditate properly
The first thing anyone can do for the coronavirus weight loss tips is learning to relieve stress and have their emotions in check and meditation is one of the best tools for this.
Meditation doesn’t have to be very hard. Heck, I started meditation 2 years ago only with 10 minute sections at first and developed into more minutes later.
So, meditation according to Wikipedia is the mindfulness act where a person focuses their mind on a particular object, thought or activity.
The good thing about meditation is that it is the best thing and easy thing to do because all you need is a quite place and yourself.
This could be a great time to go outside and get sunlight during these lockdown days.

As you can see most of the benefits are related to helping improve your immune system also most of these benefits like reducing stress, improving sleep and lowering blood pressure are all requirements for weight loss.
2. Choose the right diet and nutrients
This tip has to be one of the most important tips of all of them because your body will reflect what you eat. I am sure you have heard the saying “You are what you eat” right? well it’s true.
Since you are not going to restaurants these are the best times to lower the bad fats in your body and totally clean your body system.
During this crisis make sure you eat food which will not only make you lose weight but which will also make you stronger.
I do not mean you must stop eating fat. Not at all. In fact, you must eat fat.
Why am I saying you must eat fat?
Well contrary to popular belief you do need to eat fat but the fat has to be the healthy type and the healthy type is called the HDL cholesterol.
You can get this fat on many food shelves but the ones you can start using at home are those likely to be in your home such as natural ones like avocado.
Let me give you a list of the healthy fats:
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Peanut butter
- Almond butter
These fats will be good in helping you not gain fat.

3. Focus on cardio exercises
The truth be told that most people would rather be indoors than to be outside during lockdown.
Although you can still run around your city during coronavirus however cardio can be the most effective when done indoors.
Think of why most people generally get a gym membership…
This is so that they do not have to injure themselves outside and also it seems like less of a hassle right?
Well you can convert a small part of your home or even outside space for your cardio exercises. The good thing with cardio is that you do not need to actually use a lot of space.
Many cardio exercise focus on short burst of movements which could be helpful. I will put a few ones which you can easily use below (I use these weekly BTW):
- Running on one spot
- Skip rope
4. Drink lots of water
You do not have an excuse for this one please! After all most of us are indoors so you need to make sure you have a glass of water next to you where ever you go around your home.
I know this is cliche but I will say it: “You need 6-8 glasses of water” even during this coronavirus saga.
This is because you need you body to get rid of the toxin and transport it as waste by water. So if you do not drink how will the body get rid of the toxin and waste clogging your system.
If your sole purpose is to lose weight rapidly that you will need to focus on cold water regularly as this will have an accelerated effect for your weight loss just like I have written before in my article called How to lose weight without running.
5. Get enough deep sleep
Sleep is also another factor you must highly prioritize when you are looking to lose weight and what a great time to get some good sleep (The one you actually want).
In fact did you know that deep sleep is linked to accelerated sleep?
The reason for this is that sleep has the ability to reboot your body and refresh it to its optimal level.
Having enough sleep is also great because it helps you be able to curb the need to have nighttime snacks which are the prime responsibility of your weight gain.

The problem is that most people are taking this time for granted and thus do not build strong immune system like losing weight.
