It is also very importnat to remember that not all cheese brands are great tasting or good quailty so it is vital to do some investigating before you buy your cheese.

But do not worry for that I have done all the tasting and revieing for you so you do not have too.

I have been a vegan for a decade and I have tested many cheese brands some of which were awful while others were not only great tasting but had good quality which mimic real cheese.

So in this post I will be walking you through some of the best vegan cheese brands that you must focus on for getting the taste you want.

1. Dr Cow

When looking for the best vegan cheese brands Dr cow happens to almost always be at the top list for most vegans.

This cheese brand makes raw, organic and non-GMO vegan cheese in US, brooklyn.

They make their cheese with mainly brazil nuts which help give it that high protein needed in any normal cheese. There are also other nuts such as cashew nuts and macademia nuts that are used to up the protein content.

This vegan cheese brand is not only fortified with nuts it is also made with home bacteria and hemp seeds.

The good thing about this cheese brand is that if you are not in United Stated of America, in Brooklyn you can buy online through their site on Dr-cow.com

2. Treeline treenut cheeses

Treeline has to be one of my favorite cheese brands for many reasons. One of the reasons is that their core ingredients for making their vegan cheese is that they put mainly raw nuts.

This cheese brand uses fine and raw cashew nuts to make up the cheese. This cheese brand is made in Hudson in New York.

The flavors put in are cracked pepper, herb-garlic and green peppercorn to give it that saucy and flavored cheese of normal cheese.

I have used this cheese mainly on special occasions as i have found that I prefer Dr cow more and also Daiya morazella shreds. (that is just my preference).

3. Follow Your Heart Vegan Parmesan Shredded cheese Alternatives

When looking for the best vegan cheese brands the taste which is like the normal cheese is a must when it comes to making your choice.

This is where Follow your heart vegan Parmesan comes in as it has the taste which is exactly like cheese if not better.

This brand is very famous amongst vegans who make their own pizza or oven baked veggies.

Their vegan cheese are made to fit well for baking as I have observed over time. Although I have not personally used this vegan cheese I have tasted it from my vegan friends who have made it for me.

4. Violife Just like Smoked Provolone Vegan cheese

Looking for a unique vegan cheese that has a smoky flavor?

Well Violife is your best bet when it comes to this. This cheese brand is normally used for home made pizza.

Most vegans love this type of cheese because it is slim and very easy to slice into your prefered side.

The best aspect about this cheese is that it is GMO-free, soy-free and preservative-free which makes it very safe for long term consumption purposes for you.

I have found that if you prefer to get a creamy taste or texture than this vegan  cheese works well due to its creamy flavour.

5. Daiya Mozzarella style shreds

One thing that most vegans like is having the luxury or the fun of eating cheese just like any omnivore. This means having  cheese which can easily melt so it can be used in many baking applications.

Daiya takes the spot when it comes to having cheese chunks you can add onto your pizza when you are baking it due to being able to melt easily.

Tofutti is another vegan cheese brand that is well known for its creamy flavor.

This cheese brand is made from tofu mainly, olive oil and soy beans. If you have tasted it you will know that it is better than creamy cheese.

The new Jersey producer and president of this brand of this vegan cheese is famous for making ice-cream fun to have is very passionate about making vegan cheese that is better than real cheese.

This he has done by making sure that vegan cheese brands are non-GMO, Gluten-free and HALAL.

And do not worry his products are butter-free and cholesterol free.

Final thoughts

Cheeese has always been what vegans miss when they think of the one thing they miss by being omnivore. This is becuase vegan cheese brands have always failed to deliver for vegans.

Most vegan cheese brands tend to not even match the real cheese taste or atleast try to.

However over the years more and more vegan cheese brands have trying  ways to make vegans happy and fulfilled. This has been done by the founders trying to upgrade their ways of creativity.

Now we are starting to see a few vegan cheese brands that live up to the promise like DR. Cow ,Tofutti and daiya.

There are even vegan bbrands that have a creamy taste which mimics that of the real cheese and this is very astounding to know for us vegans.

I hope you enjoyed my article of the best vegan cheese brands and I hope it was helpful in giving you the best choices which mimic that of real cheese.

If you have any questions or comments to add you are more than welcome to leave them below and I will be more than happy to engage.

I love watching videos like the one you posted. lol. They always make me laugh. I definitely want to give the Dr. Cow brand a try now! We actually sell quite a few vegan cheeses at my local market but I’ve never given them a try. I’ve honestly been a little scared to try them because of the taste and price. With you doing this for 10 years (being Vegan) I will trust your judgement and report back! Thanks for info:)
