There are some habits that we do every day that may have bad consequences to our body health & goals which you may not be aware of.

This is usually why most people fail year after year to not only achieve their weight loss goals but to stay looking young and fresh.

This is why in this article I will be talking about some of these shocking habits that make you age faster.

1. Disrupted sleep

According to science it is said that interrupted sleep can have a huge effect on your epigenetics in the long run more than any other thing.

This means that people who have frequent insomnia at risk of this since this disorder does affect your sleep a lot and thus it would be better to get a solution for it.

The best solution is to see a doctor and I would advise to against anything like using supplements as that will be something unnatural (sleep needs to happen naturally).

Once you cure this it will help a lot with helping you look younger since you will be helping your face relax and soften any wrinkles or lines on your face.

2. Continuous stress in your life

This point is more related to the last point in that stress will likely lead to sleep disruption which will thus have a negative effect on your age.

According to insider.com it is said that research has found that chronic stress has the effect of increasing inflammation and increasing wrinkles.

The best way is to live a stress-free life that will help you stay healthy and looking young in the long run.

There are many solutions you can do outside of your work to do this and this could even mean going for a walk after work or a run.

4. Lack of exercise

It was found, through study, that men who were engaged in more exercises for every hour of exercise they may increase 2 hours of their life expectancy.

For this to be effective the exercise needs to be done frequently over a long period or just regularly. Most people are lazy of claim not to have time so they end up not repeating the benefits of looking younger.

5. Consumption of soda

Soda has the same effect as alcohol in that it will increase your aging and this is due to the sugar content it has an other additives which will work against your goals of looking younger.

I stopped drinking soda for a very long time ( about 2 years now) and I can tell you that I feel great and more energetic.

I remember last month I had soda a bit and I can tell you that it felt so awful and I was wondering why I used to even drink this poison before.

If you feel you can’t let go of soda you should do it slowly and it will soon be something you do not even need. I mean there are many drinks to have like water, diet juices, smoothies etc which are better alternatives.

When it comes to stopping any aging process the best thing to do is to ensure that you focus on something that will be able to help in a natural way.

This will generally require you to drop some habits which are not serving you so that you will be able to achieve your goals.

    Hi Thabo, good tips! I am so glad that I am already following the list you mentioned. And you are right, we feel so much better if we avoid these activities. It’s funny when I read #5, I had to think about ‘soda’ for a moment. In my language soda is a cleaning powder, so it took me a while before I realized that in English soda is a soft drink. :’-)

    I would add ‘eating meat’ and ‘smoking’ to the things that are better avoided. What do you think?

      Yes you are right smoking is just like alcohol in that it is disruptive to the body. In fact I forgot to include it but it is vital for this.
      I also do not eat a lot of meat myself so I ca relate.

        I 100% agree with you and I would also add eating habits to your list as many people have diet that is poor in nutrients and rich in chemical additives and preservative that causes inflammation and accelerates the process of ageing,

    Wow this is an eye opener, we did not know that soda could have an effect on your age. We do not drink it we do avoid and thankful that we do get our sleep and no insomnia, and do exercise, not all the time or all day but we do. This article is useful for us and many many others.     This was an eye catching title, so I wanted to read about it. Since I am 70 years old, I want to look as young as possible. I don’t drink alcohol at all, and I get plenty of sleep. I can’t exercise much because of chronic pain, but I do yoga and walk a little. Yoga helps with stress. I would include it in assisting to look younger. I confess I have a soda once in awhile, but only rarely. Eating lots of fruit and vegetables is also a secret to looking younger. Thank you for the great article.

    OMG! I didn’t know that disruption of sleep causes stress. I wake up in the middle of the night and can’t go back to sleep. I’m wondering what you think of this: Do you think that watching certain things on television contribute to stress? I watch the news a lot because I think I need to be informed. But I always feel terrible after watching the news. But if I don’t watch the news, how will I stay informed? What are your thoughts?

      Yes stress is related to no sleep.
      Ofcourse what you watch does also have an impact especially if you sleep right after watching. I personally do not watch news because of the negativity. I always look up things I want to know about. This is more so because news are more fear based. But it is all your choice of what fits your life better.
      If you feel you can’t stop watching news but want to have no stress then I suggest you meditate before you sleep.
